***THE SPECIAL STORY***
is
a young man came to the table today and said he became a muslim 6 years
ago and then didn't practise as much because he wasn't around muslims
but then explained that he has never ever said the SHAHADA!
We asked why not? He said I still have doubts!
He claimed there was a contradiction in the Qur'an ( and I knew the
verse he was referring to) and after finding the verse and showing it to
him, he agreed there was no contradiction, then we asked what else? He
said I don't know!
He said i believe that there is one God in my
heart, but I have never said the Shahada (declaration of faith).
Therefore, God will judge accordingly!
I said but the declaration is in the heart and tongue.
I gave a simple example, which made him realise the importance of saying it.
Imagine, you love your mother so much (IN YOUR HEART) and never say it on your tongue, how would your mother feel?
If you really do love her in your heart, the tongue would be natural to
say it. The only way it wouldn't is if you are not certain in your
heart. He said he needs to read more as he is not 100% certain.
I
said that there are 2 types of injustice, saying the Shahada and
submitting to the will of God completely while having some major doubts,
and another type when you have no doubt and submit without saying it.
We have taken his contact details and we will meet up and discuss
anything he has found with doubt, and wishes to clear up. Because he
said he has 2 doubts, one contradiction and one about sexism, both of
which we cleared within 5 minutes. So he wants to clear up more once he
finds what they are.
It turns out he also knows Abraham Pirry's brother in law and also his wife and used to work at Baguette Express!
He believes in one God for definite but needs to find any other doubts
and get the answers before declaring his declaration of faith! He also
used to be a vegetarian because he didn't want to chance if things were
not halal from muslims who had used HARAM money to buy things! He
referred to himself being a muslim previously, but his fitra (natural
disposition) is strong.
May Allah grant him life until declaring his shahada and guide him to do so.
Ameen.
